Unwelcome symptoms like racing thoughts, irrational stress and fears, sweating, shaking, and a pounding heart can make life feel unbearable for people who live with an anxiety disorder. Around one in every thirteen people will suffer from anxiety, and it’s one of the most common mental health conditions around the world. Most commonly, anti-anxiety medications or counseling are offered as a treatment for anxiety, but recently, CBD has gained a lot of popularity as a potential way to get back in control of this condition and live a calmer, stress-free life.

    The Research So Far:

There have been several studies in recent years that point to the therapeutic potential of CBD as a treatment for anxiety. With more studies involving human participants, it is becoming clearer to see that CBD certainly has the potential to reduce anxiety symptoms. A Japanese study in 2019 looked at teenagers with social anxiety disorder, finding that after receiving 300mg of CBD oil for a month, the teens had experienced a reduction in symptoms.

Ways to Take CBD for Anxiety:

If you’re considering trying CBD for managing anxiety, there are several different product types and methods available that you may want to consider. Since everybody is different and various types of CBD might work better for certain people, it’s a good idea to try a few things and find out what works for you. If you want a quick and easy way to consume CBD, oils like CHILL+ CBD oils might work well for you. They are taken orally using a dropper. You can also get edibles containing CBD, patches, vapes, and more.

    Getting the Dose Right:

The good news is that it’s almost impossible to overdose on CBD, and it’s a safe, effective treatment with very little side effect risk. But you don’t want to overdo it or underdo it when taking CBD for anxiety, so a gradual and cautious approach to finding out what works well for you is key. Everybody’s optimal dose is different, so start small and gradually build up until you hit the sweet spot. This process is known as titration, which gives you a chance to observe how you feel when taking a certain dose and determine whether it’s working for you or whether it’s best to adjust how much you are taking.

    How CBD Works for Anxiety:

CBD can help your body and mind relax, which is something that a lot of people who struggle with anxiety have trouble with. It can also work as a sleep enhancer, making it easier for you to get to sleep at night and sleep through the night, which can be beneficial for people who suffer from insomnia along with anxiety. And a positive side effect of getting enough sleep is that it can help to relieve anxiety symptoms during the day. Vaping CBD has been found to provide immediate relaxation during stressful and anxiety-inducing events.

Growing research has found CBD to be an effective treatment for numerous types of anxiety disorder including social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Finding the right type and dosage of CBD for you can help to relieve symptoms and promote relaxation.
